Joanna Sądel, a teacher at Stefan Żeromski I Secondary School in Kielce, participated in an educational mobility activity in the form of job shadowing, which took place from 27 to 29 April 2026 in Split, Croatia. The mobility was carried out במסגרת the Erasmus+ programme and funded by the European Union. The project coordinator is Gabriela Olea Martin.
During the mobility, the participant observed various educational activities, including mathematics lessons, English language classes, and vocational and intercultural education sessions. Particular attention was given to innovative approaches in mathematics teaching, especially the integration of ICT tools and the use of artificial intelligence in the classroom.
The job shadowing experience provided a valuable opportunity for exchanging good practices and professional experiences. The participant enhanced her knowledge of classroom management strategies, methods of supporting students with diverse educational needs, and the implementation of innovative teaching approaches, including CLIL and experiential learning.
The programme also included participation in workshops, study visits to local educational institutions – including a vocational healthcare school – and activities focused on developing intercultural and communication competences. The participant engaged in sessions addressing inclusive education and collaborative teaching practices in an international context.
The mobility enabled a comparative insight into the education systems in Poland and Croatia, contributing to a better understanding of school organisation, teacher–student relationships, and teamwork within international teaching environments.
Participation in the mobility contributed to the development of professional competences, including improved time management, enhanced English language proficiency, and strengthened intercultural awareness. The experience gained serves as inspiration for implementing innovative teaching solutions and further developing bilingual education at the home institution.
Overall, the mobility was a highly valuable experience that will contribute to the continued professional development of teachers and the improvement of the school’s educational quality.
