On 9–16 November 2025, four teachers from I Liceum Ogólnokształcące – Sylwia Szrek-Skulska, Anna Plachimowicz-Cynkier, Barbara Bukowska and Anna Piwowarczyk – took part in a job-shadowing visit at Tikkurilan Lukio, an upper-secondary school in Vantaa, Finland. The mobility was carried out within the Erasmus+ programme, coordinated by Gabriela Olea Martin.
The purpose of the visit was to become acquainted with the organisation of the Finnish upper-secondary school, the teaching methods used by Finnish teachers, and the educational solutions implemented across different areas of learning. The teachers observed numerous lessons, took part in meetings with the school management and staff, and analysed the use of digital tools in the teaching and learning process.
The visit provided an opportunity to explore the Finnish education model, which is based on individualisation, a partnership-oriented relationship with students, and strong autonomy in the learning process. The participants also identified a number of inspirations that can be implemented in Polish schools, including strengthening
student well-being, using active learning methods, applying formative assessment, and developing empathetic communication.
The mobility proved to be a valuable experience, broadening perspectives on contemporary trends in education and enabling the transfer of proven practices into school reality.
