From 8–12 July 2026, three teachers from Stefan Żeromski First High School in Kielce – Dorota Marcinkowska, Aleksandra Szychowska, and Katarzyna Misztal – participated in the international training course “AI and Gamification in Teaching Bilingual Science Classes”, held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. The five-day course provided 25 hours of intensive professional development focused on innovative teaching methodologies, artificial intelligence, and gamification in bilingual (CLIL) education.
During the course, the participants explored a wide range of AI-powered educational tools that support lesson planning, the creation of teaching materials, personalized learning, assessment, and student engagement. They also learned how to incorporate gamification strategies—such as challenges, badges, levels, and feedback systems—into science lessons to increase students' motivation and active participation.
The programme combined theoretical sessions with practical workshops. Working in international teams, the teachers designed innovative bilingual science lesson plans integrating artificial intelligence and gamification, exchanged teaching experiences with colleagues from across Europe, and discussed best practices for implementing digital innovation in education. The course concluded with the development of individual action plans for introducing the newly acquired knowledge and skills into their own schools.
Participation in the mobility significantly strengthened the teachers' digital, pedagogical, and intercultural competences. The knowledge and practical experience gained during the course will be applied in everyday classroom practice, helping to create more engaging, interactive, and student-centred learning environments. The participants will also disseminate the project results by sharing good practices and innovative teaching methods with other teachers at our school.
The mobility was funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme. The project and Erasmus+ accreditation were coordinated by Gabriela Olea Martin, the Erasmus+ Project and Accreditation Coordinator at Stefan Żeromski First High School in Kielce.
