As part of an educational mobility project funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ program, our teachers participated in the course “Artificial Intelligence in Education: Innovation for Teachers and Learners”, organized by Eduventure. The project was coordinated by Gabriela Olea Martin, and participants included Gabriela Olea Martin, Grzegorz Biskupski, Renata Figurska, Aleksandra Szychowska, Sylwia Kozłowska, and Katarzyna Misztal.
The aim of the course was to enhance professional competences in using artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching and to improve the quality of educational work by implementing innovative digital tools. The program combined theoretical knowledge with intensive practical exercises.
At the beginning of the course, participants engaged in integration and networking activities, presenting the educational context of their schools and exchanging experiences with teachers from various countries. The course covered theoretical foundations of AI, machine learning, and natural language processing (NLP), as well as their applications in education.
A significant part of the training focused on practical skills, such as:
- designing interactive AI-supported presentations,
- creating and editing graphic materials and videos (including chroma key technology),
- composing educational music,
- developing educational chatbots and adapting teaching materials according to the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
Participants also learned to use tools for assessing and monitoring student progress, automating feedback, and promoting academic integrity. In addition, the course
explored immersive technologies such as AR and VR to create engaging educational experiences.
The training allowed our teachers to develop digital competences, creativity, and innovation in their teaching practice and to better plan activities that support the individual development of students. With the acquired knowledge and practical skills, they can now respond more effectively to diverse student needs and implement modern teaching methods.
Participation in this course marked an important step towards integrating artificial intelligence in education and further developing our school as a modern educational institution, preparing students for the challenges of the future.
